Sydney Marshall Gilliam is an aspiring Director & Screenwriter from Tennessee. After receiving her Bachelor's in Communication at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, she moved to Chicago to study Screenwriting & Directing at Columbia College Chicago where she graduated in the Fall of 2020. While there, she was recognized as a Finalist for the Take 1 Film Festival for first year students, worked on multiple sets as a Production Assistant, Script Supervisor, First AD and Director.
Most recently, she was a creative development intern for Full Spectrum Features based in Chicago. There, she was in charge of script submission intake, distributing scripts on a weekly basis and doing script coverage for an average of three scripts a week.
Sydney has worked for the University of Tennessee School of Journalism in their Equipment Room, Commercial unit & as a videographer for The World Food Championship UT Unit. She also has a history in sports where she worked as a videographer for the UT Men's Tennis Team and as a Video Production Manager for the Tennessee Smokies, the Double-AA Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
