If I Killed SOmeone For You

I wrote "If I killed someone for you" in 2019 after being inspired by the music of Alec Benjamin and my own personal relationships. I'm excited to be directing a story so close to my heart and can't wait to share it with everyone.
"Help" explores the abusive relationship between two high school students and how it leads them to do the unthinkable. For some people in first-time relationships, they are blinded by "love" and don't see the red flags. For others, they crave having power over someone. I wrote this story to heal from a past relationship where I was made to feel unloved and hoped it shows others that they deserve more.
This short film was originally part of the Directing III program at Columbia College Chicago put with their new COVID protocols, we decided that the story would best be served by shooting independently.
In July of 2021, we complet Principle photography after four days of shooting. We are going into post-sound in early August and hope to have a finished film by the end of 2022.
